hey guyz, i am thinking of getting a xforce header and hiflow cat for my b16a, just wondering anyone have any experiences with it? And whats the difference between 4-2-1 and 4-1? Sorry for the noob question as i am new to this part.

4-2-1 meanss that the header start with 4 collectors (one from each exhaust port), they combine into 2 pipes, then combine again into a single pipe. This style of header is good for low to mid-range power and is generally the best option for daily and street driving.

A 4-1 header goes from 4 pipes to one pipe is optimises high-range power - this is generally best for track or drag racing, but is often considered to be less practical for daily driving because you don't redline your car all the time.
The 4-1 design also hangs a little lower under your car, because the 4 pipes combine into one under your engine (meaning you have 2 pipes on top of another 2 pipes) as opposed to the 4-2-1 design which combines from 2 (next to one another) to 1. This needs to be considered with the height of your car in case you scrape it on bumps etc.

XForce is a decent/good brand at a very affordable price. My brother uses them on his B18B non-VTEC Integra and we're very happy with their quality and performance. The cat I have no idea but I assume it's also a decent product. Just ensure that you mate these two parts with an aftermarket cat-back exhaust system to optimise the gains from the header and cat, otherwise the exhaust flow will become restricted again when it reaches the end of the cat/start of the cat-back.
2" is great for a daily driven B16A. My B16A has a 2" RS*R header, stock cat, stock backpipe and 2" 5Zigen axel-back muffler. Goes well :)

Don't forget your CAI!
Enjoy :)

thanks mate, thats really helpful to me. But is muffler=catback??
My current exhaust systenm setup is stock header, stock cat, xforce 2" muffler, and top fuel sri.
What else do i need? Only the header and cat?? Stock back pipe will do the job?

Cat back is the length of exhaust from your cat convertor leading back underneath the car to the rear. When people talk about catbacks it includes the muffler.
You will need to increase the diameter of the pipe to enhance flow through the exhaust.
Basically its goes this order: Headers - Cat Convertor - B pipe (can have resonator) - muffler - tip.

To answer your question: yes stock back pipe will work. but for best results, when you get the headers and cat, get your exhaust shop to make up a simple 2" catback to link up with you xforce muffler. You'll get better results from your headers.
Shouldnt cost much at all if you get it made in mild steel. maybe couple hundred (if that)

rep point if I helped :-)

so exhaust shop can customise and bend the pipe to fit into my car?

course mate. thatts their job. just make sure for best results you want mandrel bends not press bends means the pipe stays same diameter all the way through.

Yeah for B16A I'd go mandrel bent, stainless steel. D-series = press bent mild steel.

headers + hi flo cat+ 2" Mandrel bent cat back + NON CANNON muffler and you'll be sweet. Will net you a few extra kw atw. Hate cannons on civics!

ANY exhaust shop can fabricate this for you; drive-in drive-out in about an hour or thereabouts.
