Sorry for all the questions guys but what should be the normal Rpm when the car is idle?

Mine normally starts at 1000 then drops to about 800 as it gets a bit warmer. BUT just recently it's been droping to '0' as the engine gets really warm. When i decellerate and come to a stop it stays at around 800 for like 2 secs then just drops off to 0, yet it doesn't stall.

Ive heard that you may need to adjust the screw on the throttle body, does anyone know where this screw is and how i should approach adjusting it. If that is the problem

You can adjust the idle with a 12mm spanner, loosen to lower idle tighten to raise idle

don't have any pics of mine soz try google

Try cleaning the throttle body and calibate the TPS. Use Beeza's DIY, I don't have the link handy, so do a search. U need a multimeter and maybe an angle grinder.

You can adjust the screw also, but I recommend doing the two things mentioned. It's a flathead screw, and if u can find the throttle body, u will definitely find it.

Yeh had the engine checked with an electronic device and it read the idle rpm as about 700 which is right...means my tacho is f'd up
