im running a 1995 eg5 with a b18cr, the other day my clutch pedal felt real soft and the engagement point dropped to the floor, damn master cylinder i thought,as i had a similar issue when i had an s2000
anyway, i got the master cylinder and slave replaced today, set me back $480 all up, the parts were as follows- master cylinder $174,slave $59, fluid $15,labour-$190.
does this sound about right?

For a mechanic....maybe. You should of shopped around.....but perhaps you were stuck. You cant contest it now you paid. Its fixed , get over it !

i am over it,just wanted to see if anyone had constructive input, plus it gives those facing similar circumstances something to work off. i was kinda stuck, its my daily, so i need it on the road all the time
i used a mechanic, as i dont have time to work on the car myself, drop it off, pick it up. thats my motto.

well , sounds about right.

A DIY guy would of halved the labour but the parts cost would of been the same. Do it yourself and save on labour. Its a fair price
