i have just installed an amp.

when i go to attempt to reconnect the negative, there are sparks when i try to reconnect it, so i have avoided it till now.

when i disconnect the amp, my negative goes on with no sparks at all.

does this mean my amp is just drawing current? should i just connect the negative and ignore the sparks? i'm worried ill to blow my amp so being extra cautious.

thanks

just ignore the sparks,
the sparks just saying that the amp has no charge in it what so ever. if it has no sparks den it has charge inside the amp which means the amp holds charge which is bad

ignore the sparks it just means its all connected right. if something was to happen u have a fuse on the power cable and amp anyway
