The blue and white copy is for your defect clearer to stamp both and fill it out.

You then give both white and blue copy to RTA and you get to keep the yellow copy as a receipt and stamp stating the defect has been cleared.

You did not get away with it just because you didn't get a yellow sticker or a red sticker.

No - one of the copies is for the Defect Clearing Station, one is for you to bring to the RTA when you've cleared the defect.
So..Good try but No dice.

You don't need a sticker for all defects - Some defects allows you up to 14 days to clear...in which case you can still drive your car around...
