Hey guys, I have acquired OKK13's old car (the purple cxi EK1 with the Mugen Kit and the d16y4 turbo engine), and was wondering the following:

1) who should I go to to get it tuned? (its running a GReddy computer with an Apexi SAFC-II). Im in Brisbane, on the southside.

2) Is a carbon fiber bonnet illegal (how do i find out if it is/isnt). It appears to have the structural supports, and apparently if they have the supports then they are / can be ADR approved???

3) What is the minimum ride height I have have without getting defected?

4) Can I get defeceted for having the BOV vent straight into the atmosphoere?

5) If I do get defected, is it a fine and points or just a fine??

Sorry there are all pretty noob questions, but I am new to the turbo world and only have 1 point for a year, so cant risk getting defected!

Thanks in advance for your time, I plan to do a full resto on the ek and get it back to its former glory!!

1. Isn't the car tuned already? If so go to a reputable tuner in Brisbane, I wouldn't have a clue over there.

2. Its defective, and can be defected for.

3. 10cm or 100mm from the lowest point of your car; this includes your exhaust.

4. BOV have to be plumbed back.

5. It can be points if you're not legal to drive a turbo car (P Plates or so), most of the time it will be fines, and a defect notice.

not possible that the carbon bonnet is legal because if you hit someone it doesn't crush like the oem bonnets do. I think i heard it shatters like glass or something along those lines which is more of a safety issue than anything else. Hope that helps.

Also, with the ride height, it's measured WITH the passengers in the car. i.e. If you get pulled over for a check they'd check with your mates + you in it, not without.

Go see Hi-Power Racing or 101 Motorsport about the tune too.
