having problems with the eletricals. couple weeks ago the eletricals all went out and car shutdown while waiting at lights. Just turned back on after turning the ignition on again. It didnt reset the oem headunit so thought it was a problem with the alarm immobiliser.

Just yesterday, while parking the car eletricals all shutdown again but didnt start up this time. The backup alarm sounded which means completely power cut off, and oem headunit reseted this time. Took prob about 5mins for the eletricals to come back on

Wont have any time until this weekend to take a look, but wondering if anyone else had any problems like this?
since all eletricals cut off wondering maybe its the positive connection? or could it be the alternater?
Any suggestions would help sourcing problem, Thanks.

p.s. when I turn the headlights on the headunit/clock blinks off for about half a second....not enough power?

loose ground cable from battery to chassis? main relay?

actually could be the grounding cable. Had a better look after work today and the bolt/grounding cable mount seems to be severly rusted hmm. I noticed today the clock light actually goes faint and stays faint when the headlights are on. is this normal on the dc2r?

Thanks

yeah clean it up, make sure it's attached securely to the chassis and battery
i've had some instances where it's short out and cut out and start again after a few goes

and yes i'm pretty sure the clock dimming is normal when lights are on
