update Engine Number with RTA

Hey guys

Question about updating Engine number with RTA

I bought an EG off this forum which had a B16a swap though rego papers had not been updated with new engine number

I know to get this updated I would have to get a blue slip and present this to the RTA with the receipt of purchase of the Engine

Problem is, I dont have a receipt for the motor as I already bought the car with the Motor installed,

Any tips on what I should?

Go to the RTA.

Ask for a Statuary Declaration Form regarding your situation with the motor.

Fill that out and get your engine no. changed.

This is what my mate did when he purchased his 86 with a 20v motor and no previous owner in sight (as he had gone back to China).

Worked out in the end.

get the old owner to write you a reciept with both parties signing.
