Centre console hinge squeaking

Hi,

I just bought an 04 Accord Euro, and the hinge on the centre console compartment is squeaking really loud when I open or close it.

Is it possible to buy just the hinge to replace it or do I need a whole new lid or something?

dry lube it up mate..... its only a hinge.... is it really that annoying?

You can remove that center compartment if you remove the gear knob, gearstick trim, ashtray and the 3 screws securing the bottom of the compartment that you will see when you remove the ashtray. There are a few clips that could fall into the gearstick area, so make sure you have a magnetic pickup tool and flashlight ready. Take it off and lube up the gear mechanism on the side of the compartment with dry teflon spray-on grease.
