Hi guys,

I recently did a service with my car changed engine oil, bleed brakes, clutch etc.

But now when i throttle for the first 5cm of my foot going down it's kind of stuck/binding against something then the rest of my acceleration is smooth, i have checked the throttle body cable that seems fine nothing stuck.

Any suggestions? thanks in advance

Was it slightly jerky?
If it is, it might be your TPS stuffing up.

Not jerky at all, just the first few cms the throttle seems to be stuck. Feels like your stepping on a can then it eventually gets crushed lol i hope my description is clear.

this happens to me at times when i dont drive my car for ~1 week. i just spray the cable at the pedal end with silicon spray. and it always fixes it the next time i go for a drive.

Let me know how it goes. Mine has been like this since I got it 2 years ago.

The pedal is very reluctant to go, then it kinda jerks down when you apply enough force and becomes smooth. Makes accelerating and gear changing kinda rough.

i purchased it today, sprayed heaps of it on the spring and cable where the throttle pedal is also on the throttle cable in engine bay.. Doesn't work lol

I bet you its the throttle body it needs a good clean.

Thought so...because I plastered pretty much everything with WD40 and it did SFA. I might trying cleaning my TB...but the feeling from the pedal makes me feel that it's pedal-related...it's like 'stiff' then 'jerk' and suddenly smooth.

hey dude i cleaned out my throttle body today i took it apart and it was the butterfly which opens in and out alot of carbon build up was in there and my pedal is heaps smooth now.

Sick man, thanks a lot. Clean your intake manifold too, same problem probably.

Also you can taper your TB for more flow :D
