FN2R - Type R sitcker on the side ?

I have seen some CTRs on the road which have Type R sticker on driver's side near rear wheel. are they stock or ??? anyone has an idea?

yes if it is a fn2r it has a massive type r sticker on both sides stock...

thats interesting! I went to 2 dealers and none of their 09 model CTRs had the stickers.... I first thought it was a standard for 09 model but it didnt seem like the case...

really? thats weird, i woulda thought they came with the car considering they are freaking 40k. lol

however as far as ive seen on the road, they all came with the massive type r stickers.

i guess youre better off asking a fn2r owner mate.

I think its actually an option you pay for to have the stickers, but someone whos actually bought a FN2R can confirm.

i dont have an fn2r, but i know that yes, it is an option from honda to have the "Type R" decals on ur civic. can't remember how much it is, but i do recall reading about this on some other thread in this forum

Yeah they are an option. Mine is an 09 FN2R and I don't have the emblem set becoz its an option but it was standard on previous years.
I think on the 07-08 FN2 its standard. I asked about it, I think its like $400 for the emblem set

its definately an option, i bought my 07 type r its not standard,

cost me 280 i beleive....

it includes type r sticker on each side and also one on the grille.

dude, i could make you a a type-R emblem out of play dough... buy stickers from elsewhere... u don't honestly need genuine type-R stickers do you -_-?

Hey guys..Drive a 07 FN2 and it didnt come as stock or standard unfortunately. Its a separate accessory and comes with 2 OEM Type R Decals for both rear quarter panel sides and the front type r logo sign for the front grille...I recall paying AUD120 thereabouts from a Perth dealer...i bought it cos i reckon it looked too plain otherwise... 280~400 which some of you have been quoted is a total rip off... I do recall some of the dealers here in WA were quoting higher but no where around that mark...
FYI - the decals differ from the DC5 and DC2 ones. Hope this clarifies:)

FYI - I paid about $110~120 from memory if that helps abt 10 months ago...I dont think the price moved that much.

type-r stickers and emblems (possibly together if you look longer) are available on ebay if you have a look...you can pick up the stickers for max $10 bucks delivered, only benefit i can see buying it from the dealers that kojmeister showed me was it gives you a "template" which you line up against the car to get the location for the right distance and height

got a quote from Rockdale Honda, $129 for the emblem set which includes 2 sticks & a badge. additional $150 for labor, they said its not an easy job to put the badge in, they'll have to take the whole front grill out when putting in the badge...

thats a load of bull stealers are always making it seem harder to do somethings hahah you don't need to take the grill out to put the badge on !!!! it just makes it easier to attach on the stud looking things on the back of it.

if you remove the plastic panel you'll be able to reach in there no problems...(unless u have hands like the hulk). just have a small spanner to give you a bit of support and help to push in the studs
