hey guys im planning to buy an eg hatch shell already registered and a crashed eg sedan for the engine

EG HATCH SHELL :
-everything there just no engine, cluster
-its currently in primer
-its already register

EG SEDAN CRASHED :
-D15Z1
-Cluster

those are the things ill be using a EG hatch with a d15z1 on it also the cluster off the sedan too match the k's

well i was wondering what do i need to do to get an engineer certificate ?? or do i need one ??

its in primer at the moment planning to spray it white, and wondering do i need to spray the engine bay ? or i can spray it red and have the outside white ?? is that legal ?

also the engine number, chassis number, the km's on the cluster, engine and chassis how do i make them all legal and rta approved ?

soorry my questions maybe be alot and confusing but try help me out here ASAP . thanks

im pretty sure the shell has to match the kms, not the engine..
you dont need an engineer cert
you dont need to paint the engine bay if you dont want to
and the last question, a receit or rego papers from both cars i think will do it

nope, youll only need a cert if the engine capacity goes up by a certain %

lets say if you go from 1.6 - 1.8 youll be ok
but if you go from 1.6 - 2.0 youll need a cert
if your using oem engine mounts youll be ok

get done for what?? lol

let me get this straight, you purchased an eg shell, and you have an engine n cluster sitting at home?
you want to put that engine in your eg shell?

throw the engine in your eg hatch shell,
go to the mechanic and get the engine registered into the car/blue slip
hand that to the RTA and give them the kms thats on the original cluster that came with the eg hatch
if you like you can change the cluster, but record the kms that you make and add them to the original cluster as that will not be going up.

getting done? i highly doubt it, as far as i can see its all legit.
maybe someone can give a second oppinion

what if the prevoius owner replaced the cluster with an eg 6 then took it off and sold to me >?

youll need to find out how many kms are registered to the rta i guess
did he tell you how many kms the shell has?
