CL9 Euro - E-manage engine check light question

I installed the Greddy e-manage ultimate unit and tuned it a few days ago.

Got in my car for the drive home and tried to start it (engine was cold). It cranked about twice and then made a loud pop and ping sound and only the interior lights turned on. I then realised the engine wasn't on.

Then I quickly turned it off and started it again and it was ok. But the engine check light was on. The car also didn't run as smoothly on the way home.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Just took the car out for some petrol and the CEL disappeared for some reason. :confused:

I've noticed that after tuning the car the starting (esp. when cold) seems to be very abrupt and jerky. The idle seems a bit irregular too. Needle goes up and drops all the time.

Has anybody experienced this?

my mates CL9 idled very badly and we found out it was a dead spark plug.
we placed all and it was fine.

doesn't sound like you have the same problem though..

You might be on to something there. It might be the spark plugs that's giving me grief. I might also go for a throttle body clean at the same time.

Turns out it was my exhaust causing the issue. The flange was loose and it was throwing off the sensors I believe.
