Integra. Will be hard to find one in good condition, especially a Vti-r, but the GSI still has a fair amount of power, and imo the Integra looks a lot nicer than the others.

Get a 1998+ GSI integra.
Good beat around car!

Definately not the gsi nugget.
In that price range:
* Del sol
* EG with B-series
* Ek1 (either cxi or GLi)--> also nugget! (but newer than EG)
* DC2 VTI-R.
Look around. They will be there for the picking.
Mods:
* headers, high flow cat, exhaust, suspension, tires.
Ps. maybe a prelude VTI-R?h22a goodness

Good luck finding a VTiR for 7k that hasn't done ~200,000km let alone spending 5k........
Look at spending 8-9k for a decent VTiR
my vote is gsi/eg/crx - your choice in terms of styling

you prob get can a vti-r with less than 200,000kms for 7k or so with a bit of lowballing...
I sold my Type R with 130,000kms for 10k... surely you can a vti-r for 7

Yeah i know.. People were offering me as low as 8k for my type r as its was on REVS due to stolen interior (i even had paperwork to prove there was no accidents and it was the interior)
Eventually, i was over it and just got rid of it.
I do regret it now but ahh well.. what can you do, best car i;ve owned so far

The only Vti-r's I've ever seen for sale for under 7k have been run down and old. I was in the market for ages looking for one around the same price range and decided I'd be more happy getting a near mint GSi with very low km's then a run down, old, high km's Vti-r. Its a fairly fast car and looks just as good as the Vti-r, plus people who have a good condition Vti-r tend to want too much for them, you could probably dor a frankenstein in the GSi for just as much.

Get a CRX. A cheap SiR if you can find one for $7000 or less.
Personally I don't like Jake's widebody CRX, I think the kit is unattractive and a blight on what is generally considered a beautiful OEM style.
