cheap place to get new driveshafts for cl9 euro

hey ppl, did a bit of research on the forums and have come to the conclusion that my cl9 is vibrating due to worn driveshafts, and ppl recommend to have them replaced rather than reco'd.. so my question is anyone know where i could get cheap brand new ones in aus, or even better in melb ? (im guessing the dealers will charge an arm and a leg)

ive looked on ebay, and found left and right 04-08 acura tsx ones for US$75 each... question is will they fit the AUSDM cl9 euro ?

TSX use same driveshafts, even same part numbers ;)

Wow, that's cheap. Surely they can't be genuine for that price? Or they might be reconditioned?

What is wrong with reconditioning the driveshafts? As long as the proper precision computer controlled equipment is used, this shouldn't be a problem. They just grind them out a bit and use larger ball bearings.

Of course, if new shafts are a cost effective option you should choose those.

hunterzero: well i've actually already had my driveshafts reconditioned, vibration was gone for maybe 2-3 weeks and now I can feel it coming back again :( So I reckon replace em..

If you're looking at the one on HeelToe Automotive, make sure 100% that it is what you need.

From my very limited mechanical experience, I think the vibrating issue (which I also suffer) stems from the inside bit of the drive shaft. The ones on HeelToe are "OEM Axle Shaft, NEW NO CORE 2004-2008 Acura TSX CL9 MT, RH/LH". I'd just make sure that the "NO CORE" bit isn't important to our issue.

Someone plz feel free to correct me on everything I have just said. :D

I got mine replaced by a drive shaft specialist in Canberra. He ended up using Integra ones (this guy has driveshafts coming out of his workshop. The whole thing cost me around $500 to replace both drive shafts. A year later my driveshafts are still singing along! Hope this helps.
