Hey all,

Ive been offered some "JDM" K20a headers at a very cheap price. He tells me theyre off the JDM K20a, however they are a 4-1 pattern, not 4-2-1. Are there any variants of the JDM K20a motor that came with 4-1 headers?

JDM dc5R are 4-2-1 if im not wrong. Unless he is refering to DC2R then its 4-1 design.

These headers are 4-2-1... pretty sure they are as im looking into a set but im not sure if the gains are that great...
If anyone could tell me if these headers are a BIG difference considered to the AUDM ones? Is a EP3R Swaybar also necessary?

ep3r sway will be necessary or any JDM Sway really. As for gains, they are much superior compare to the AUDM ones. obviously it isnt up there with good aftermarket headers like TODA but it still offer some pretty good bang for buck gains over the AUDM.

As the others have confirmed, it is 4-2-1.
Also, in addition to the EP3R sway/JDM sway you'll also need to extend O2 sensors.

JDM DC5R/EP3R headers are 4-2-1.

If they are the JDM DC5R ones they are very good quality, full Stainless Steel, race design headers and are definately bigger than teh AUDM DC5R ones.

If you can score these for a decent price they are a good upgrade if you are on a budget.

You will need JDM EP3R front sway bar to fit.

You cannot use JDM DC5R FSB unless you have the JDM front LCA swapped over as well.

Make sure you get the Cat and 02 sensor along with the headers.

So there is no JDM model of a car running the k20a that uses 4-1 headers?

CL7 Accord Euro, DC5R, EP3R and FD2R are all 4-2-1 header.

AUDM DC5R is 4-1.

So unless there is anything else from a JDM model with a decent K20a worth getting.

4-2-1 is what you would be looking out for.

Audm is actually 4-2-1 aswell. If you look inside the collector you will see a separator. Jdm is definitely a good upgrade but don't pay more than $300 as they are not THAT much better. Same goes for inlet manifold. Upgrading to JDM yields almost no gains when comparing to the price you pay for them.

On that note of it being a small performance gain, does anyone have a dyno chart of stock with JDM vs AUDM header?

I don't think so lowiez... but if i do get these headers i might do a Dyno and then when i decide to move up to TODA Headers ill do another dyno and compare again if you get me.
