Hey Guys.

I have recently just done a B16a swap into my EG Si. During the swap I had a wire tuck done to my engine bay and my dash loom was slightly modified for the new dash/engine loom.

The car starts fine, but the issue I am having is with acceleration. At first when I accelerate, it just cuts off as in my engine dies. I start it up again, and this time pull on the acceleration cable SLOWLY to get past the DIEING stage and all I hear is a deep choking sound, as if its not getting enough air. My revs don't sound like they are rising, it just holds at this same point. (currently do not have an air filter connected, shouldn't make a difference though)

Would anyone know what the problem would be? I've tried checking the ignition timing/firing order, check the timing of the cams/timing belt, cleaned my injectors, checked the fuel pump, replaced spark plugs. I haven't changed the fuel filter as of yet as I haven't been able to remove it.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks guys

does the engine light stay on, does it even work

when you turn in the IGN to pos II does the engine light come on and go out ?

check your ECU for codes

make sure you have not plugged the MAP connector into the TPS and vise versa

also ensure the thermostat housing ground point is clean and and connected.

sounds like Throttle position sensor issue? could possibly be unaligned?

checked MAP and TPS and they were not wrong way around.

checked ecu for error codes and we got the following

6 ECT water temperature sensor (we have a feeling its wired up wrong)
19 Automatic Transmission Lockup Control Valve ( did a quick google search on that and it seems to be a common problem)
20 Electrical Load Detector
22 VTEC Pressure Valve ( its not connected as it is broken)

the ecu we are using is a p30 (is this correct?)

uhm TPS seems fine. What do you mean by UNALIGNED?

you have an automatic ECU that needs to be converted to MT

you need to fix the ECT wiring

code 20 can be removed from within the ECU

you dont have to replace or rewire the VTEC pressure switch, this also can be disabled

you have to fix the ECU. PM me if you want these things fixed in the ECU

code 6 19, and 22 are stopping you fom normal driving putting the ECU in Limp mode, Limp mode is a rich fuel mixture usually with a 4k rpm limit

P30 is the correct ecu for B16A engine
