I had my eye on a set of 17" x 7" King KG-5 rims in white for my EK Civic when I called my insurer and they told me max I can get is 17" x 6.5". I can get the King KG-5s in 15" x 6.5".
I can not find any rims that are 17" x 6.5". I've seen a couple 16" x 6.5" but none that I like.

Anyone know of any nice 17" x 6.5" rims? Should I just settle for the 15s? or should I stop being a pussy and just buy the 17"s and if I have an accident replace them for the stockies?

that's not being a pussy its being a dumb ass. your insurance will be void if your car is modded outside of your insurance specifications. what if you have an accident and you cant get the wheel off? or your car gets totaled, you end up in hospital before removing the wheels and your insurance says whats this? unapproved modification to the vehicle, bye bye no money for you. get wheels you can insure or change your insurance company

Suggestion would be not to buy the 17's if you aren't willing to take the risk of not having your claim paid..
17s seem big for a civic? get nice 15s or 16s n dump it, looks much cleaner :)

if you're really keen on the 17's call other insurance companies and get quotes and ask them if they'll insure you with those rims

I was thinking about Just Car Insurance but at the moment my Mrs works for the insurance company that my car is insured with and we're getting a good discount at the moment so probably wont change insurers.
