what you could do, is get the new type r key's with the big plastic part, open it, get the original key and place the top part inside /some cutting may be required. and youll have avery cool looking key,

long as they are the same size, thickness and width etc... dnt c why it wont work... and the key does not have a immobilisers chip in it so just get it cut

yes

open tha tup, and take the rubber off your existing key and place it inside with the actual turning part petruding out obviously!
and perhaps some glue or screws etc to secure it in plcae!

this is how the inside looks, so think u need to drill a hole on ur orginal key then secure it with the screw

$30 for the type-r part and $5 for the replacement original key

i think its worth it =)

perhaps you could get a small file and file a slit for it, and then when taking the rubber off your existing key, slot it in and then use silicon to secure it inside and then put the cover back on

good luck!

ive wanted to do this for sometime actually. just unfortunately havent gotten around to it.

from memory. JDM cencept sells those key things!

let me know how you go man. I just got a plain key and would like something flash. Wonder if you could incorporate the button for an aftermarket alarm.....
