depends if it is a straight fit.

just let you know you will need to tune ur ecu. it would b wise to invest into a HONDATA

OP has hondata.

have you looked for dyno graphs for the bc4s?

$800 is an awesome price for the entire head package.

might want to upgrade the valves while you got the head off. high cr pistons would be nice but not necessary for power.
i've seen dynos where they made 30+hp with bc4 and a tune only.

hey dude,

if you upgrade your cams to the spec 4's. you might want to do a few more things.

1.portpolish+3anglevalvejob your head.
2.get high comp pistons
3.upgrade to eagle rods.
4.tune the ecu
5.redo tapets.

theres alot more to opening up your motor to build it than just wacking them in and driving off.
if you want reliability you will need to spent alot more than 800.

trust me. personal experience =)

you may be running a faster head.
but remember. if your bottom end doesnt put up with the heat of when you constantly fang the shit of your car. you'll blow your motor.

My advice is, keep your motor the way it is now. Also ask yourself, am i prepared to spend the money on a head build, or a full engine build. Then ask yourself, do i really need to do it. If your motor is in awesome condition, then i'd leave it. But if its running low compression then i'd go all out.

Coming from personal experience in building evo motors, (4G63), the aftermarket parts that work well with each other is always the most reliable. I.e. You wouldn't use Toda vtec killer cams on a stock bottom end even if it's tuned. Reason being they were't made for eachother. But if you run them with a forged and balanced crank and high comp Toda rebuild kit then yes it will be beneficial.

In regards to Eagle rods, they're poo. They're now manufactured in China.

A good setup for a mild build would be as follows. Starting from the bottom

Fully balanced crank
Manley rods
Wiseco pistons 11:1 20 thou over
Acl race bearings
Block machined and honed to match the pistons

Head
Toda stage one cams
Skunk2 cam gears
Skunk2 retainers and springs
Jun valves
ARP head studs and valve stems

Etc

fully balanced crankshaft meaning your standard one or would yuo have to go aftermarket crank?

Generally speaking, cranks are pretty reliable units - it's the bearings and oil/lubrication that needs to be up to par. Without the lube, you've got friction and it'll be blowing a bearing and destroying a rod before the crank will get damaged.

I'm just about to wrap up my 4AGE build, mainly stock but with TODA H/G, slightly ported valves and mild cams. Nothing great, just useable reliable power.
