Hey guys,

I was looking into getting a GPS for my FD1. If I didn't want to use one of the mounts that attached to your windscreen, what other options have I got? Anyone got pics of how they mounted the GPS units to their FD1?

Thanks, guys!

Probably the alternative way is to mount the GPS on the dash, but I haven't seen any mounts that can do this.
Or you can buy those in-dash GPS headunits.

After having my car broken into earlier in the year, I'm a bit hesitant to do any 'permanent' GPS mounting in the vehicle. Any options that I can go for that allows me to put away the mount & gps easily after I park my car?

Try this site

The mount can't be removed easily, but the GPS can. Plus they have mounts for many other cars and devices.

I got one for my FD. I mounted it on the right.

or you could try buying the longer arm and attach it to the little window on the A-pillar

Interesting place to put the GPS, but I kind of think that it will be dangerous when driving and trying to look at the GPS at that position. You definately will have to take your eyes off the road.

nicee i like the idea of having it in the compartment
1 benefit is that if youre lazy to pack it up people wont see it easily
1 thing i hate with our civics is that our windshield is really flat therefore u need to stick it high up otherwise u cant reach it lol

yeah it is a bit dangerous having it there. i rarely look at the GPS when i'm driving so it isn't too bad.

true, you don't really notice it there if you have tinted windows.

use that stick on windsheild one, and attach it to that little bitch-sized window near ur driver's door.

then run the wire between the plastic dash parts
