hello well my car was on the hoist and i put it in drive but it doesn't rotate or move but the clutch still engages, so i turned the car off and moved the tyre by hand and there is a clicking sound from in the gear box, like the drive shaft isn't attached please help...

more info needed ... this is a d series gearbox? Assuming you are talking manual (even though you said put it in drive) ..
check to see if hte axle has dislocated from the gearbox - it is held with a circlip type thingo..
If its Auto then it could be the Park pin not disengaging ... like putting your car into P while still moving, you will hear a lcicking noise before it stops (and damages your gearbox).
If you spin one wheel, does the other wheel sping the opposite direction? (Assuming Open Diff)
Hard to say with limited info ... post a vid?

Also a strippped CV may also make similar noise and since open diff will transmit all power to the broken axle.

i found outit was the drive shaft popped out, its manual, and had it on the hoist, with the load being on the tyres and nothing to support it it added pressure to the driveshaft, thanks for you help guys i shit myself thinking i needed to buy a gearbox lol...
