Iev been pondering about importing coilovers, as buying here, they are a bit pricey, and with the currency as it is, its a good time...
Has any one used these before? Ksport Kontrol Pro Damper System
Still researching atm, hopefully i should have saved up enough by Christmas to buy coilovers :D
I got a set but i havent installed it yet.
But I think they are good because its orange.

this is pretty much the only way to gauge. D2 is pretty good cos its purple.
Zeal sucks they are black.
K Sport products are pretty much the same as D2, they are cheap but get the job done. You should be able to get them with the springs you want, however they are not very sophisticated and hence are great on the track, but pretty bad on bumpy roads. I had a set on my S14 track car int he UK and they were fine, as were the K Sport 8pot calipers with 360mm discs, but that's another story.
The answer is, like most things, but particularly with suspension, you get what you pay for.

I've got a set on my FD civic and I have to say, I'm pretty happy with them. They're alright on the softest settings but are still a little bumpy, however I don't really notice it when driving. It's only when I'm the passenger, i actually feel it.
Overall, they haven't failed on me and would recommend them as a budget coil over.
Has been installed on my civic for around 3 years now.

cheers guys, im convinced enough to buy them
How do they fair up to the BC (Not buddyclubs) coilovers, base price is $1300 as opposed to paying 1000 for the K-sports overseas?
The bc ones are seen as a step up in the range fromn the same manufacturer. From the feedback ive heard, they are not that much better than the ksports

I've a set of Ksports Kontrols on my mirage and I dare sell they are rubbish. The ride was too stiff and it kept making knocking noises while driving. When mine were busted, i was quoted by KSPORT in sydney to have them rebuilt for $900~ . My first reaction was "Go ef yourself". I went to buying BC racings and having looked back, best bang for buck coilovers.

Have you thought about HSD's? The TT (twin tube) ones are $1399. I have HSD HR series coilovers and have been quite happy with them. The TT ones are more suited to street cars.

You get what you pay for. The cheap coilovers will lower your car but I dont think it would ride well. Handle or last long. This is what I recommend dont know which ones you need for your model though.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Koni-Yellow-Sport-96-00-Civic-Shocks-96-97-98-99-00-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem3f04a76900QQitemZ27066 1019904QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccesso ries Koni for up to 450 pound springs. Around $490US
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170504516903&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT Swift springs of your choice. Around $320US
https://www.kingmotorsports.com/p-2146-koni-threaded-spring-perch-sleeves.aspx Koni Sleeves Around $80
https://www.kingmotorsports.com/p-2147-koni-threaded-spring-perch-sleeves.aspx Koni Lower perches. $80
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180585876583&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT Srtut tops to suit your car. $ Depends
So with Aus dollar so good your looking at delivered Shocks $600 + Springs $400 + Sleeves $200 + Strut tops $200 That setup will ride like a BMW and last forever.
Or you could get cheap steel rings that sit under your stock strut tops to suit the springs and save some there.
If you any stiffer you would need the race valved koni at $1100 then maybe helper springs etc etc.
Good luck.
