View Full Version : Air Filter Problem

So if you look at my air filter its got the stock box but inside is a k&n filter, but under it the piping its positioned very wierd, probably because its my first honda, but i wanted to know do i have to take that whole big piece of piping out because i wanted to direct the cold air intake from the bottom front of the car where the Red Tick is? Or does the piping disconnected at some other place i cant see.

That pipe goes to the resonator for the stock air filter.
For airboxes such as the Mugen one, it needs to be removed.
If you plan to run a ram air of some sort, then just take your front bar off and remove it, not that hard at all.

basically the pipe which runs downward below the airbox is held in place by the intake resonator inside the guard pictured below. It can be removed via the splash guard or by removing the bumper.
