wouldn't 15 be slightly small? any one got pic of eg with 15 inch and 16inch by any chance?
what tyre size would you go with for 15inch? 205/50/15?

Hey mate. I got 16s on my EG hatch. The came with the car, but if I had the choice I would have gone with 15's. I needed new tyres and for decent tyres (Continentals) got priced 230 a corner. 15's are so much cheaper.

Plus you can still fit a nice 282mm rotor behind a 15" rim. Makes the rotors look massive.

thanks for the input, but wouldn't 15 with slipstream looks slightly smaller? as slipstream seems to make the wheel look 1 inch smaller due to the design or something? do you have pic of ur car by any chance?thx

^^ once i was at the lights next to a commodore full of bogans riding on chrome rims. then one of the passengers go: "how big u think those are? 14s?" lol

15's for less rolling resistance.... better on fuel, engine wear etc..

pictures tell 100 words, 15s certainly do look like 14's, lol, mayb because of the tire side wall ratio used, but as others have said, its really upto you, 15's for function, 16's for form

my rule of thumb is only ever go 1" up or down, but thats just me

and it looks smaller cause the rim has a lip, so if u compare a rim with a lip and a rim where the spokes go all the way out to the edges, the later will look bigger

drop the car and 15"s wont look small, they'll look even hotter

seeing as ive had 15s on it before

hey ICYOIL, what tyres are you using and what do they cost a corner? im running the same size tyre but they cost a fortune.

As said by mugen_ctr. yes 16's might look cooler cause of rim size. but a nice 15x7 or 8 will look squat and fat with car lowered right.

plus if you plan to drag or track the car a 15 is much better idea. i'll be saving for a set of 15's when my car is ready for some track time.

+1 for 16s
I never thought I'd go above 15s but I love my 16s. Mine aren't slips but I guess I'd go for 16 inch slips too.

at the moment ive got shitty cheapo blue streak stilettos tyres, they are temporary until my tyre shop gets my Yokohama s drives in.
the blue streaks cost me 120 a corner, for the price they are really not bad.i dont push my car hard tho..

not sure on how much they are going to charge me on the s drives yet
