View Full Version : DC2 bush replacement - how many are there?

If anyone bought the DC2 complete bushings kit, can you please answer this question:
Hi guys
I've just recently bought and installed a bush set for DC2 from JDM Yard as follows:

There were 24 bushes in the box, and there were 4 bushes that couldn't be identified.
Have installed 20 bushes as follows:
4 x Upper control arm bushes - front
4 x Lower control arm bushes - front
2 x Castor rod bushes - front
4 x Toe link bushes - Rear
2 x Trailing arm bushes - Rear
4 x Upper Control Arm Bushes - Rear

Anyone know what the remaining 4 bushes are?

Rear lower control arm? but there's 6 there

How often do you have to change bushes? is it expensive to do?

not sure how often, i only changed because they have been squeaking for months.
I would expect them to last 10 years

AT LEAST 10 years. Some bushes are fine in 20 year old cars. major ones should be replaced but others may be fine. Depends on what wheather conditions the car has been exposed to and how the car has been driven(how much stress have been loaded onto the bushes) also lowering the car or changing the susspension in any way will affect how the bushes wear.

If you bought the DC2R bushes then its the Rear lower control arms... there should be 2 on each arm. I'm sure there is 2 on each DC2 RLCA as well.

They would be the Rear Lower Control Arm Bushings whether DC2 or DC2R
or
Rear Compensator Arm Bushings
