hey guys..
as some of u may know, i have a b18c2 vtir complete conversion ready for my ek1...

however, i have purchased a itr lsd and am having difficulty getting the answers i need regarding installation........
my question to u people is...........
when i strip the vtir gear box and remove the stock open wheeler diff, is it as simple as just taking off the ring gear/final drive and re-fitting it to the itr lsd and re-installing the lsd diff to the box???
or
are there measurements/clearances of some sort that are required to be done before installation??

thanks heaps for anyones help....

im pretty sure its a straight swap in and out.

id suggest u check the bearings and other things u might like to freshen up while the box is out and apart.

you also need to check the clearances for the shims and re-shim if its not within allowances.

you might also like to check the run out - though its a factory honda item so it should be fine.

I have done this on my B18c2 box.
Its a simple drop in and change-over.
The B18c2 FD is the same size as a B18c7 FD.

The only one that has an issue is the b16 box, hence why i changed by b16 box for a b18 box

Does the MFactory 4.7 FD fit in the B18C2 gear box?

sorry....but.....doesnt the b18c2 standard gearbox have tapered diff bearings - the ITR diff has sealed or non-sealed flat faced bearings.

So it cannot have an aftermarket final drive put in?

I was looking at this:-

so the only difference for the type R and vtir box is the LSD, or type R gearbox mean to be stronger than vtir oneS?
