Everytime i stop at a red light or when i'm idling, my car wants to stall? What might the problem be?

Cheers

i think it may be your spark leads. they aren't giving enough power to your cylinders which is causing your car to want to stall when u stop.

Nothing to do with electrics. It just wants to stall when idling. The pointer on the rpm gauge goes up and down. Would there be any other reasons?

give your throttle body a good clean with carby cleaner and a rag.

Yeah, normally my first suggestion as well. Can of carby cleaner about $10-14 at any general automotive shop.

IACV- Idle Air Control Valve - give a good clean to that and after reset ECU 7,5Amp fuse in the box under your bonnet- it should help !

Sorry but where exactly is the IACV? I have a b16a motor and how do you reset the ecu?

Cheers

IACV is behind ur intake mani, with 2 pipes and two bolts , to reset ur ecu take out that 7,5amp fuse for about 10 min put it back, idle ur engine with opened radiator cup so the air can easy come out, wait till ur fun start about 20 min, then turn off the engine and then ur sorted :)

2 pipes comes from that, u have take it off IACV from ur mani and give a good clean with carb cleaner or petrol just take off rubber seal firs whitch looks like 8, its on iacv thaen good clean that u can even liveit for a nite in petrol, after u give a good clean put 2-3 drops of oil, and connect ur iacv back to mani, then u go :D
dont forget to reset ECU, its very important ;)
good luck with it, its very simple, belive me ...

IACV is that wire thing that attaches to the top of the IM, yeah? How does having it dirty mess your idle? Just that the wires can't transfer data as fast?

read the posts man i put the link for iacv pic, it shows u how its looks like, when is dirty inside revs are jumping on idle coz its not opened or closed as should do. in 90-95% thats the reason why he have rough idle.
