Non honda, but car wont start........

drove my old mans toyota tarago 1988 carby to work as someone else took my car
So basically it was running fine all up till i finished work and suddenly it stopped working....
The car cranks over fine, we checked the fuel filter, and noticed there wasnt any fuel being pumped, but the thing was it was running perfectly fine up until i parked it and tried starting it for like 30min,
now could it been that i parked the car on a slope that cause the fuel not being pumped?
or is it the fuel pump?
or could be the carby?

The car is still stuck at work atm, so i need a quick fix to get it out of there

Get a rubber mallet and a pair of hands.

While you crank, get someone to tap the fuel tank from the bottom.
Thats usually the trick with EFI cars.

happened to our family tarago also.
quick fix to get your car started in this situation - go under the car and beat/smack the fuel tank a couple of times. It should start after this but no guarantees, worth a try. We only did this to move it out of the driveway so other cars could get out. The fuel pumps have since been replaced.
