any ideas for bottom end- short block or whatever u call it ?

depends on what ur after... If its power, get the whole bottom end rebuilt with forged items boost it, and ur set... if its jus a daily, oem is more than enough... nothing wrong with oem parts
If ur after high revving engine, again rebuilt bottom end... but totally rebuild to that of boosted engine, different parts for different specification
What engine btw? D series? or B-series?

Next q's, N/A or Boost?
Even though people may say boosting isnt reliable, dont belive that, its nonsense, a well setup package will last for ages...
If going the N/A route, maybe EK9 pistons and rods? Or aftermarket gear, theres Toda, arias, an few more.... And also it depends on what compression you want....
And maybe Quad throttles, lol just for that extra bling factor and response on the track

its gonna be N/A, i was thinking about ek9 pistons, but think i may do that setup for a bottom:
Cometic headgasket
ACL bearings
ARP headstuds
ARP main studs
Supertech block guard
SRP or JE forget pistons
Eagle rods
Gates kevlar timing belt
is that setup give me some extra power ? i think it will

so that what i think to fit:
Head:
camshafts skunk2 pro series +2
retainers skunk2
springs skunk2
oversized valves +0.5
Hondata S300
bottom:
Cometic headgasket
ACL bearings
ARP headstuds
ARP main studs
Supertech block guard
SRP or JE forget pistons
Eagle rods
Gates kevlar timing belt

most definitely not. Our parts are expensive, better off buying from the US!

Not as cheap as they were about a month ago, but, yeah, have a look around some US sites for cheaper prices but remember to factor in two things:

1. Not all US web-based merchants will ship OS.
2. The few that do, use International Couriers like UPS or FedEx, and that can be very expensive. Look for those that send US Parcel Post as you can get 'box rate' for $50 (that's if it will fit in a box). Bulky items forget it.

Its called an LS VTEC or poor man's type r .. Can work and is quite cost effective... If non vtec block then need to tap block for oil feed for vtec head, otherwise bolts straight up (effectively)..

Just use your B16A2 head to make a B20VTEC setup bro. Stock internals with I/H/E will pull 115-120kw easy. You'll be happy with it.

was thinking about b18c4 block, there is many things and i just lost with it :) what about b16b pistons on to my block ? that will increase compression for about 0.4 .

Just go B20VTEC and be done with it.

i heard that they have low compression and are heavy on juice :)

Is it school holidays or something????

It's heavy on juice if tuned wrong.

Are you from this country?

If you are, ring someone like TODA, Ben, WHOEVER does this kind of swaps and pay a consultation fee to get all the answers you want sorted on the day. Bring a pen and paper and be done with it.

Low compression and heavy on juice?

Mate a B20VTEC makes tons of power down low compared to a B16 or B18, and isn't this for a daily driver like you said?

Do you think your fuel economy will be so much better with your planned head and bottom build, than with a B20?

If you're going to build an engine that's going to cost closer to AU$10,000 than AU$5,000 what would fuel economy even matter? May as well get a D15...

^ What he said.

With engine building, you would rather over budget than under. I'm in the process of redoing mine (but Toyota 4AGE) and the head/head work alone is there 1k and that's with a mild port job and stockish cams. If your doing the work yourself, then fair call but parts alone and getting it done right (then tuned) is a different story.

maybe you want to start thinking about force induction? that will be a much cheaper way to make power
