Just yesterday I purchased some Polk Audio MM 6 Inch speakers, I went to install them and well. They didnt fit due to the factory speaker having a hexagonal surrounding. And i couldnt fit them in, It was the trim in the way, the hole behind the trim was the right size. But the trim was hexagonal like and the factory speaker fitted in perfectly. I have searched the forums with no luck. Thanks

Also, I wish to fit a Double Din screen in, I have basic electronic knowledge. My question is, could I fit the HU in myself. Does the connectors at the back just disconnect and reconnect into the new HU or is it a bit more tricky?

Thanks alot for reading and looking foward to your replys :D

hey mate

since the speakers are hexagon shape the dc5 is round what you can do is cut the pointy bits on the speaker its self in order to make it fit the hole or you can buy spacers and mount it on that. for the head unit it wont be plug and play you have to cut the OEM connector off and joint the cables to the new head Unit connector. see below pic
