hi guys this is a very technical one..

i want to know what the difference between an O2 sensor for a DC5R and one for a DC2R

All i can see is that one is longer than the other but one is over $300 and the other is $70 to $110 depending on product......
the plugs also seem to be the same..

Any ideas

what i know thats something about time when the signal from o2 sensor get to the ecu.- thats about lenght of wires

The primary oxygen sensor in an 02-04 DC5 is of wideband type (sorta) so it will read a large range of A/F ratios and give feedback to the ECU. The sensor in the DC2 and a lot of other cars is not wideband (narrowband) and will only work over a narrow range of A/F ratios, probably 14-15:1 so the ECU can accurately set cruise A/F ratios although I am not certain on this point. This is possibly one of the main reasons for the price disparity.

Yeah i can confirm that the DC5R engine uses a wideband sesnor and the DC2R uses the standard narrow band sensor.
