2000 cxi gem

Hi all. recently picked up my ride already fitted with coilovers, cambers , OG rims and injen intake.
original 95000kms or so i believe, however log books etc give me the impression they are legit kms.
recently installed jvc head unit which wasnt too much of a task. tried to make things easier by purchasing a wiring loom however the one purchased at Ryda Car unfortunately didnt fit therefore job took a little more effort n sweat. windows to be tinted next, not sure to go 35% or 20% or perhaps 35% passenger / driver and 20% sides and back. What do you think ?
this will be followed by timing belt replacement and major service. i know its not due for another 5000kms however better to get it outta the way i guess and keep her running smoothly.
also thinking of converting to power windows which ive read is a bit tricky and really not worth the hassle. neverless enjoying my ride albeit a little bumpy at times which is something ive gotta get used to. cheers and till next time Jbster

welcome.

on a civic, can get a bit annoying, I had 15% on my last civic (done by my brother) hated it. Really dark at night.
35% is ok, my best advise is step in cars that have both type of tints done and judge for your self.

hey dude, nice work so far

with the power windows, if you get lets say OEM converson kit from a gli or vtir ek its plug and play nothing to do more. The after market ones are abit trickey though.

OEM is factory standard not aftermarket,

i had a ek exi like yourself and i bought ek gli conversion kit, which included, door trims, door inserts, power etc everything that will plug and play and i haved asked the forum before about auto doors for ek exi and its plug and play.

I have "darkest legal" tints on my EG I regret it, too dark at night.

Hey Mikey when you say "ek gli conversion kit" do you mean brand new or second hand, and where from?

decided on 35% tints, job being done tomorrow....OMG what a decision to make 20% or 35%, was a tuffy but decision based on not wanting to attract anymore attention by authorities and more importantly visibility at night. now researching on alarms...considering mongoose but lookn for reasonable (not cheap as firm believer of you get what you pay for) price installer.

heyy dude go 20%!! ive got 20% on my civic and its perfect! at night i can see clearly and during the day its pitch black! u might regret 35% as i did! personally i didnt find it much different from stock.. seemed like a waste of money so i had it redone to 20% but ur call!!

btw sounds like an awsome ride! would love to see pics.. goodluck with it all :D
