Hi guys i bought a set of koni yellows with lovells (i believe) 2nd hand.

Anyway im going to install them tmw. But i noticed that the code on the shockers are actually for an ef civic. (Going by koni website)

Just wondering if these ef koni shocks and springs will fit into my dc2.
I dont want to take apart my car tmw only to realise they dont fit...

Any help would be great.

I think the front drop forks (the thing that mounts the shock to the lower control arm) will be a different size.

i heard that the forks on the eg/dc2 is bigger so the ef shock should be small enough to fit in it...
b ut i dunno if it will lock tight and i tighten down the fork top

ok so i installed them today. had to use ef forks.
problem is fronts are really lower and rear is really high.

Does anyone know if eg/dc2 springs fit into ef shocks ??

i heard that the ef shocks overall are smaller making the eg/dc2 sit lower.
im thinking about putting king springs lows at the front and then just put ultra lows at the back. i got these of a mate but they are for his eg.

So anyone know if they will fit??

i put them in now but the the stock ones are pretty much compressed be cause the shocker s are to small. and the springs are sorts bending

Koni yellows are height adjustable, why dont you try looking at where your spring perch is set? maybe the fronts are set lower than the rears? either way that should be able to sort out your problem without using a different spring.

Are you sure they're height adjustable?? Thought they're only damper adjustable???

There are 2 or 3 machined grooves on the body which you can move the circlip between. They're adjustable over a couple of discreet steps rather than an infinite range with a threaded sleeve.

we talking about the lower perch that holds the bottom of the spring?
So if i move that down will it make the car lower or higher?

Yes the lower spring perch. Lower the perch to lower the car. The motion ratio at the front is 1.35 IIRC so for every 1cm you move the perch you will raise/lower the corner 1.35cm.

Here's a photo I just took of one of my Koni's.

Does your shock not have the grooves like mine?

The grooves are about 1" apart so will lower/raise by around 35mm.
