Hey guys I just purchased myself some new Phillips HID globes and Ballasts and I am looking at fitting them shortly but cant seem to find an ideal location to mount the ballasts in the engine bay. I was hoping that you could assist me with some ideas and photos please.

Also do the ballasts get hot, warm or generate no heat at all??????

Cheers Guys.

Best to place them away from the engine bay away from heat and for a cleaner look. I put mine inside the wheel arches. Just find a secure spot away from the airbag sensors. They are the yellow ones.

Get 3M double sided tape and just stick the ballasts to the side and use zip ties to make it nice and clean. One side snugs near the front bumper area.

For my euro, the best option was to take off the front bar, if you do, under the headlight, there is a slot where the ballast slots in perfectly... Beauty is that it stays hidden, and the ballast dosnt really get heated up, just make sure everything is tucked in, but after you have taken out the ballast a few times, you wont need to take the front bar off to slot it in, you can just do it by touch.

I did see that spot, in the lux model that is where they put the ballast factory. I might try that idea then just thought it would be hard taking of the front bar.
