EG Tail Lights Not Working

I recently changed my tail lights on my EG. Not sure how it was wired before as they were the clear ones. When I turn my headlights on the right side the outside light comes on and on the left side the inside light comes on. How are they meant too look? are all 4 meant to be on or just the outside ones?

it's supposed to be
all 4 bottom ones are on when lights are on
then when braking, the out side one should lightup the other filament in the bulb and the 3rd brake light on the spoiler will come on

All fixed now. 1 globe was broken and the other had a dodgy wire.
