japan spec cl9 audio different to oz euro?

i'm pretty pissed that the cd player in my 07 cl9 cannot play mp3.. seriously!!!!!! i don;t want to install a aftermarket aux output. just wondering if the japan spec audio was the same? i assume getting a second hand unit from japan wouldn't be that expensive.

head units will set you back quite a fair bit. at least 600-800. If you've got bluetooth maybe use that instead? If not just burn cds like me :) I got about 8 cds in there and they last me quite a while and plus u save urself some money :)
