Im currently looking at a rear tie bar + front strut brace combo to complement the coilovers i have just bought. I know the benefits of the front strut braces, but are rear tie bars a good upgrade? Im looking at the Beaks bar in particular.

Also will an aftermarket bar designed for a DC5R fit all variants of the DC5 chassis? (Type R, S, etc.)

Any help would be great. Cheers.

Beaks lower tie is more for bling. If you want to upgrade in handling with the front strut brace, get a rear strut brace or aftermarket rear sway bar.

tie bar is useless, DC5R subframe is quite strong.

Mate upgraded his rear sway bar to Cusco and tracked it.

Didnt have any problems even without tie bar.

rear sway bar for sure, tie bar is just for looks, plus its so sort compared to the long tie bar of the dc2 / eg!

Whats the application for?...racing on tracks every weekend or just jetting off to your local shopping centre?

Not worth it, rear sway bar and rear strut bar is a better upgrade

Have a look under the back of your car. Honda saw fit to bless you with a steel tie bar linking between the inner mounting points of the LCAs. Most likely stiffer than a blingy Aluminium aftermarket replacement.
