maybe the dizzy is 180 degrees out? pull out the dizzy turn the shaft 180 degrees and put it back in and see how that goes.

hey IANP when you stuff up an ignitor what happens to ure car? cos i think my car has a dizzy problem aswell
Well when the ignitor went the car just wouldnt start. If you have spark, it's probably not the ignitor. If the spark is weak or plays up when the car is hot, its most likely the coil. Ended up buying a brand new complete dizzy for about $400 (less than the price of a genuine ignition module).

it could be a simple problem that y0u got you're spark plus leads in the wrong sections.. check and see if its that coz i had the same problem and that was it haha (facepalm)
Yeah got it started.....and it was a simple problem.......the engine flooded from me trying to start it for so long and the battery was dieing so the starter motor wasnt quite turning fast enough too :( but all good now guys.
