How would you fit in a CD player?

yes u can replace the stock deck with a after market one, very simple.

It just seems like the unit is bigger (stock) than an aftermarket one. Is there a name for any extra pieces I'd need or would the head unit do? Thanks for the reply!

not sure if youre simply asking if u can replace it with an aftermarket cd player (which you can as above) OR asking how to remove that stock one out (to replace with an aftermarket headunit)..

the head unit trim (this "extra piece") will come with your aftermarket headunit, and will fill any gaps around the faceplate
