Hi all,
I was reading online and saw that some EK9 came with Tein RA Coilovers. Since it is good enough for an EK9 I thought that it would probably be just as good for my little EK1, but I just had a few questions:
1. Will the EK9 suspension fit directly onto a 99 ek hatch?
2. Anyone who has a Type R or this suspension, what is the ride quality like?
3. Will these coilovers be ok for normal street use or are they to aggressive and more suited to the track?
Thanks guys.

I'm sure they'll be a direct swap, but RA's are really only for Track use... Extremely stiff suspension.
OEM Type-R shocks are firmer then your stocks, but still very good for street.
Tein RA on EK9's? Like an option out of factory? never heard that
Well, EK9 sus should fit on a 99 ek hatch fine, same chasis (stiffer of course)/body/etc.
The EK9 suspension (well on my car anyways) is a nice ride. It's softer than the ITR (which is very stiff, especially on our crappy bumpy roads) and feels more suitable for road use imo.

Thanks guys for the responses.
Yeah I was just reading it on a site somewhere and someone mentioned that the EK9 had Tein RA suspension. Not sure if it was meant as from factory but anyway.
So what you are saying VTi-RT is that for a daily driver the RA suspension is probably the wrong option, unless I like it real bumpy :D .
Thanks guys, will keep looking for suspension then :) .

If your looking a new suspension, Tein's Type-flex are a good option. Firm, but soft enough not to get too annoyed about every single bump on the road. It's really up to you and what you can tolerate...
