hey everyone,

as most would know ive decided not to go ahead with my turbo set up, which means im driving around with a stage 4 competition clutch and its a pain in the a** when the point of a clutch like that was for my turbo set up.

so my question is, if i was to put my stock clutch back in, would it work with the toda flywheel?

if not, what clutch can i get thats not realy expensive and close to stock, keeping in mind i just put in the competition clutch.

as i do realise it may not be worth to put the stock clutch back in.

thanks.

it will work fine...

i have an exedy organic clutch, bit heavier and have a strong clamping pressure, but nothing like what you have in their now... might be a bit more expensive than stock

well tahts good the toda fly will work with the stock clutch.

i havent decided what to do yet, just sometimes in traffic the clutch is a pain if im keeping my car with only I/h/e.

also have to see if the life in the stock clutch is worth putting it back in.

can these stronger clamping clutches have any negative effects on the car? making power or not. guess its a bit off topic.

Yeh, Jono. Stock clutch fits on no problem. Yes its a bit overkill for your setup now (not going turbo). Its the shuddering that is not the best for the whole driveline. The smoother you can transfer the power to the wheels the better it is on the driveline. Obviously the stock clutch is better for this. Its not to say the Competition Clutch is going to blow something up, its really how you can handle the clutch, less/no shudder.

The stock clutch is going to be more friendly on your Toda flywheel than the ceramic clutch as well, in terms of wear.

cheers deano. yeah i know its going to be overkill.. save me buying yet again another new clutch just for my n/a set up, the stock will be going in.

if the toda flywheel works the stock clutch, then thats what it will be :)

i do apologise after all the info and help you gave, i decided not to do it. :(
