DC5R 6 speed gear box pic urgent

hey im after a pic of a dc5r gear box,
i am missing a part and tryin to order a new 1 but no luck,

i need the pic to be from the end closest to the wheel (passanger)

the part i need looks to be some sort of oil drain plug or service hole,the hile is about 32mm

i will post a pic very soon of the part

I believe thats a blanking plug. If thats a threaded hole I think a bolt with an allen key head goes in there.
Havent had the chance to really look at a K series box properly. Just generalising with my memory of a B series box. I could be wrong. But usually the drain plug is at the bottom of the box, and the filler plug is close to the diff.

The bit you need is number 25 in the picture below, and it is indeed a 32mm plug. No idea what it is there for, but it certainly should be there :p.

Nope. Sorry boss. As discussed above, the missing plug pictured in the first post is not the fill plug. Whilst you could fill it through there, you would have to accurately measure how much oil you put in and it would be impossible to tell if the level was correct. Much better to fill it through the correct plug until it pisses out and be sure the level is correct.

As my first reply.
Look around the diff area. Or look at the level of the diff (where the driveshafts connect to the box) and look around that height, there should be one odd bolt thats bigger than the rest. That is most probably the filler plug.


*edit: Look at the diagram maracer has provided. No. 16 bolt is your filler bolt. Pump fluid in there until fluid starts to pour out and put the plug back in.

I cant remember which bolt it is because i fill mine up at the BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH:eek:
1.5 to 1.7 litres....thats what works for me.

hey thanks guy yep thats the 1 im missing :( also i tryed to fill it up throp that hole and it took like half a L
