Hey guys, got an 02 DC5R
Question....
Installing the front strut bar... does the OEM one need to come off or may it stay?? Also must the strut use all 3 bolts or is 2 fine aswell?? I know it's as simple as unbolting a few things then rebolting down the strut bar :)

Also the rear strut bar, where does it go (noob, i know but i don't wanna stuff up..)

Tips to installing you might have would be good to know aswell as i have plenty to work with at home..

I have got the Cusco front and rear brace type os so photos of what i needa do would be a great help (What i needa cut, if need be to fit the rear strut...

Thank you!!
Much appreciated :)

Some bars like spoon and Mugen allow you to retain your OEM brace.

Brands line Cusco or Js' racing for exaomple don't

you don't have to keep the oem brace there but if it helps with stiffening the chasis why take it off?

And you should have all teh bolts bolted down to spread the tension around the bar/chasis.

I understand that... Will try and see with a test fitment but from first looks, i dont think it needs to be taken off but well see when i test fit later tonite...
Whoever has photos could you please post up :)
Thank you :)

Use caution tightening the nuts as the bolts snap easily

I took off the oem brace, put on the cusco one, then put the oem one back on and did all the nuts up last. Careful not to scratch that sexy polished brace! Hope that helps

I had a bit of trouble when installing my Mugen one.

A trick my friend told me is to bolt one side down, and for the other side get a piece of wood+hammer. Place the wood on top of the end and give it one hit. The end should be intact, and bolt it up.
