ITR wiring that leads no where?

Hi guys,

cleaning my engine bay today and i noticed 2 sets of wiring from both sides of the car that lead to just under the head light housing,,and i have no idea what they are for.

its definatly something aftermarket..............

check if it runs back into the fuse box or towards the battery at all..

nope the wires stop right where they do in the pics!..maybe fog lights or HIDs?

fog lights maybe, but hid's are a direct plug and play on dc2r, not extra wiring required.......

that is not stock wiring.

might be a aftermarket fog light.. guy prob did it so when the headlight is on the fog light comes on as well at the same time

after market wiring for sure.

if not for after market fog lights, he did the usdm indicator look with them.

Could it be alarm wiring?

If you could follow it back it might give you an idea of what function it used to serve? Otherwise I'd say the fog light might be the best option. If it was alarm related there is no reason for it to be up near the headlights; an antenna would be a short piece of wire, no other reason for long pieces of unconnected wires

unusual for the wires to be there and not hooked up...they dont even go inside the headlight unit, just under it, inbetween the chasis and the headlights

I would have thought that that kind of wire would be wired into the headlight control unit, and not the headlight itself???

plug up a multimetre to it n c if it actually does anything.

its for the optional fog lights from the factory

(im going to wire them up once my jdm conversion is done =D)
