I drive a 2010 jazz and when driving cold i find 1st & 2nd gears notchy especially when i am changing down. But when it warms up its fine. Whats the cause ? Can it be fixed ?

i have just had my GB checked out under warranty and they claim it was the oil. My changes are now a lot smoother.

Nicely described, my 2010 Jazz is the same. It's just about due for its 10k service. I'll let you know what the Honda dealer says ...

The written report i got back states that the GB oil was milky. I will have to enquire further as to why. I have only driven 2500 ks

My GD experiences this. I've accepted it as fairly normal and it'll go away after 5 mins driving.

personally, i've never noticed this, and i had a Jazz of some sort since 2 weeks out of the 2003 Aust. Launch. That said, live in sunny QLD, and it never get's colder then 10degC here really.

How cold's cold? or is it EVERY cold start?

When it's below freezing, 2nd gear is difficult to select. It comes good after driving for a while. Unfortunately, the weather in Canberra has recently been relatively warm in the mornings, and so I may have nothing to report to the dealer for the 10k service.
