hey guys,
i got a EG with a jdm Integra si B18C in it and i cant really notice the crossover.
I got a mugen style air box(stock intake pipe) and mugen headers.
What other bolt ons do i need to really hear the cross over???

Smoothe crossover is indicative of a smoothe torque curve. It's good because it means your power grows nice and smooth with the revs instead of jumping up quickly at VTEC. So you have a good mod setup!
Loud crossover sounds cool but isn't as practical.
EDIT: To answer your question, sell your good parts and get cheap sh!t like a $50 SRI and some random mild-steel press-bent exhaust with a $50 Super Cheap Auto muffler and some ebay headers. Then you might hear your crossover better :) lol

its just the nature of this motor. it's essentially the same motor as B18c2 - except for higher compression pistons
i have i/h/e on the same motor and it is quite noticeable. you're just gonna have to accept that with i/h/e bolt ons, it won't produce that B16A/B raw crossover.
try a j's racing whale penis intake. i witnessed this on my friend's jdm b16a. it went from big crossover to even bigger crossover.

if you want louder crossover, change your intake manifold to singlestage ie skunk2 and get typeR cams

so the reason you did engine conversion is because you wanna hear vtak kick in?
man.

just an induction mod will do

i already got toda cams and cam gears, but yeah very smooth power curve

your cams n cam gears would be the cause of the missing vtec crossover.
yes the vtec cross over is fun n all but i would much prefer a more linear torque curve.

a simota big tube intake from ebay will do the trick ... but those are some quality cams so its still gona be a smooth transition
