Whats leaking

While changing the bulbs today i noticed something sticky on my hand.
apon closer inspection, i noticed this residue on the pipes marked in the pic (thanks again to weq for his engine pic)

what ever it is its thick, black stikky, and also somewow made its way onto the bonnet, looks like it got "sprayed" on

*might* be power steering fluid....as there is a pump direclty below and the fluid could of sprayed up onto the bonnet etc.

Open the resevior ( red lil cap) for the power steering fluid - tell us if the level has dropped significantly. Also look at the inlet + outlet rubber pipes for the resevior - see if there is any leaks etc...

Have you had this car long? Could it be some silicon spray that was sprayed on your belts then sprayed up to your hoses and bonnet?

ive had car for a month now
done 70,000k

ill haver a looksee tomorow, and take photos

Have you checked your boots?
They could be ripped/loose and spitting greese everywhere?

Wipe the hoses clean and check for leaks
I think is just grease and stuff from the belts
as u point it to the a/c hose and the p/s hose
