1999 ek cxi help

Hi,
i just got a 99 ek cxi hatchback and i was wondering what i can do to it to enhance its performance. is an engine swap necessary or can i just add some modifications to the engine? if so, what should i add to it. i already have a air intake but what else should i add. i am also still on my p-plates and i dont know which engine mods are legal or not.

dont do anything.. no point trying to make power while on N/A...

turbo is the only way to get decent power from the d series but since your on your Ps that wont happen.

I suggest upgrade to a b series.. b18c7 or b20vtec.

sell your car and buy a vti-r

man, honestly, dont do any drastic engine mods.... at most intake, exhaust an headers, basic mods, at least it gives you base platform into the modifying scene....
and about p-plate mod laws, depends were u from, if ur from melb, u cant touch the car at all being p's... unless u can convince em its for looks an not performace, lol, stupid, but ppl like me an that still do, as long as ur sensible, it shouldnt be any real trouble....
either get a vtir or keep this, an wait till ur off ur p's, an get an even better car....
