HELP - 05 DC5R Cluster (White Gauges) into 02 DC5R - How to?

Hey all,

Ive bought a facelift (05-07) DC5R cluster to put into my 02 DC5R. The plugs that connect the loom to the cluster itself are different between the two, so i need to track down the plugs from an 05-07 Integra as they didnt come with the cluster i bought (I assume the base model, type-s and type-r plugs would all be the same for the 05-07 models).

Can anyone here help me or point me in the right direction please? Or recommend another way of getting round this? Ive tried a few wreckers here in Brisbane and the Gold Coast but being a new-ish car makes it hard. What are my options?

Well the cluster plugs are nearly impossible to find and i was wondering if there was another way around it... All the articles and DIYs say u need the plugs and i was hoping maybe someone who is on here who's done it before might be able to point me in the direction of finding some. Ive been googling for weeks.

sorry to bother but if it has taken you weeks of searching you might as well go directly to Honda. I've got feeling its both totally different clusters.
What exactly do you want to do?, just change the interface? whats going to happen to the kms reading?...etc

Ive been to Honda and you cant buy the part by itself, you have to buy the whole speedo loom, which makes the job wayy more expensive and complex than it needs to be. I just want to put the '05 JDM Type R cluster into my '02 AUDM Type R. The problem is that the plug design between the '02-'04 and the '05-'07 are a slightly different shape, so i cant just put the '05 one in. The wiring is near identical though, so all i need to do is track down the plugs from any '05 model DC5 and rewire them to the wires on my car, then it will hook up to the '05 speedo. Its just that finding an '05 onwards DC5 at a wrecker is near impossible, theyre too new a car...

The mechanism that controls the km/h reading etc is all done within the cluster itself, it should just be plug and play, bar the plug issue that I described above.

PRe face DC5 has VSS where as face lift doesnt.

Wiring is also totally different.

You're gonna ahev a night mare getting it work.

All the threads ive read say that all you have to do is wire the face lift plugs onto the prefacelift wiring. If i have the wiring diagram for both then whats so hard about it?
